From Bik Gayi Hai Gormint to Bhai Bhai Bhai, we have come a long way in last two years. And now, we are officially evolving from tagging our friends in memes to tagging along with our friends to the memes.

Why, you ask? Because memes are coming to the physical world in India’s first ever meme fest!

The Meme Fest is a three-day festival to acknowledge and celebrate the Indian meme culture. It’s an event where all the meme lovers will get together in the physical world to appreciate our meme legends who kept us entertained for last two years; from Aunty gormint to Trivago guy.

Well, because The Meme Fest will feature a comedy night, meme market, meme cosplay contest, meme photo-booths, meme awards, food trucks and what not.

There are also gonna be a bunch of engaging and fun activities designed specifically for the Indian meme community.

1. MemeX Talks.

Kind of like Tedx Talks but for the meme community. This candid talk session will feature Indian page admins and Twitter celebs who will talk about the their journey and the Indian meme scene.

2. Meme Cosplay Contest.

Pay those legends a homage by dressing up like them. It’s like comic con cosplay contest, but for the meme community. Put on your lawyer outfit and feel free to randomly point at people and say, “Kaun hai ye log?! kahan se aate hai ye log?!”

3. Meme photo-booths.

Gigantic cutouts of famous Indian meme characters will be spread across the venue and props will be there for you to dress up like your  favorite meme characters and click selfies with your friends.

4. Pop culture quiz!

Y’all ever thought your meme knowledge was a complete and utter waste? well, not anymore because there’s gonna be a live pop-culture quiz based on viral memes to test your knowledge.

5. Meme Awards.

Empty meme templates will be given to the audience online and the best original memes will be awarded at the end of the festival.
