The movie effectively captures the desolate landscapes of Kashmir through stunning drone shots, intensifying the harrowing experiences of those who lived through the turmoil. The consequences of poor administration at the time by the ruling government are vividly portrayed, leaving a lasting impact. The echoes of the past resonate deeply, particularly in the film’s concluding moments that send shivers down the spine.

The drone shots elevated the cinematography

Clocking in at nearly three hours, the film engrosses viewers from the start and maintains an emotional grip until the end. The all-star cast delivers outstanding performances, with Darshan Kumar and Anupam Kher standing out as magnificent and believable in their respective roles. Pallavi Joshi’s portrayal is devilish, while Chinmay Mandlekar is equally terrifying as Bitta Karate.

While the film is visually impressive, there are minor shortcomings in the visual effects department that fall short of expectations. The editing may also pose an issue for some viewers.

Controversies surrounding the film could have been avoided if certain individuals refrained from using it for personal gain or propagating their own agenda. “The Kashmir Files” does not intend to incite communal strife but rather sheds light on the endurance of a community and the terror they faced due to the mindset Pakistan tried and even still tries every day to instill in the minds of Kashmiris by spreading the talks like Kashmir is a part of Pakistan and not India. When a majority population of a state gets brainwashed, the youth is getting trained by terrorists, when Islam is taught in an evil way, when Lal-Chowk is hoisting the Pakistani Flag/ISIS flag in the center of the city, between all that Hinduism got to face all the atrocities & terror in Kashmir and The Kashmir Files gives an outstanding portrayal of reality and true history of this diverse nation called BHARAT.

The controversies made it legit & acceptable

The film raises questions about the role of political parties in providing justice and support to the Kashmiri Pandits openly. This was the first time when people woke up despite their religious background, for the first time people felt the feeling of humanity and the importance of peace. It serves as an educational experience, revealing the history of Kashmir to those who may be unaware. The cinematic filming and outstanding performances contribute to the film’s effectiveness.

It’s a beautifully directed film with outstanding performances. It is worth watching but one should approach it critically and conduct additional research for a more comprehensive understanding. The movie delves into the complex and layered issues surrounding Kashmir, urging the need for balanced viewpoints. It calls for reflection on the role of the state in protecting its citizens’ rights and emphasizes the importance of acknowledging and addressing the pain and suffering of the Kashmiri Pandits.

Overall, “The Kashmir Files” serves as a gripping and thought-provoking portrayal of the hardships faced by Kashmiri Pandits. It leaves a lasting impression, evoking a range of emotions and urging a deeper examination of the past.
