Review Overview
8.7

The first season of this historical drama was released as an underdog on Sony LIV and for the first time in India something like this came out on an OTT platform which presented the truest form of – “our nation’s rich & intelligent political, geopolitical as well as scientific history”. Whatever we have been taught in schools and colleges is majorly bullshit or half-told truth, which I believe is more dangerous than the entire lie, and when it comes to space and technology and the people who were devoted to this country like Dr. Homi J. Bhabha & Dr. Vikram Sarabhai and later Kalam Sahab who carry on with the legacy in science and space research.

Season-2 shed light on a topic that literally changed the core path and face of our country which was the “Nuclear bomb” and how it was made and then tested in the Pokhran district in Rajasthan state from under the nose of USA as they were watching us from their satellite in the space and didn’t want INDIA to succeed and be powerful enough, but today India is standing with its chin-up without a single drop and sense of fear on the planet Earth with various superpower including the USA & China. CIA had destroyed more countries than any other intelligence agency in the world when we talk about facts and history. school ki kitaabein pass hone ke liye padh liya karo, par asli gyaan sara bahar milega, podcasts consume karo, Historians, archeologists, physicists, and you will discover an entirely new world and perspective around you as then you will be exposed with the true truth and not the cooked truth.

Season-2 was an apt adaption to reality and history. The editing and screenplay are something to clap for. Our history is too big and complicated that too when it comes to national & global politics even then making a show with such precise details is commendable. the acting of almost everyone on screen was outstanding, the set design was something I felt flattered about coz it was so so realistic to the era makers tried to show in which this all happened. The space and rocketry science and their applications shown were so much close to reality or even real as well.

TBH, Rocket Boys like shows are needed in this nation, such shows are important because hum jis desh mai rehtey hai aur reh rahe hai, uss desh ke liye kuch logon ne bhaut saha aur bhaut kara hai jo humhe ya hamare parents ki na unke grandparents ki generation ko bachpan se kabhi school mai padhaya gaya na poora sacch bataya gaya, but such shows will enable every generation past, present and coming ones to witness the true reality of our Indian history, and it will inspire many many to become humans like Bhabha, Vikram & kalam.

Jim Sarbh is the best part of the show

Jim Sarbh shines as Dr. Homi J Bhabha, ensuring the viewers sit up straight during his scenes. He molds himself perfectly according to the need of the scene and is an absolute treat to the eyes. Ishwak Singh also does a pretty good job as Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, despite the flaws in his character’s writing. every other character in the show was on-point with the exact amount of screen time needed for them to be on screen and in the story. its written history, kisi bhi character ko zabardasti story mai ghusaya nahi, jiska jitna real life role tha usko utna diya gaya aur on screen dhikaya gaya.

So, concluding my thoughts and reviews on this particular show and I just want to say that PLEASE watch this show, and shows like such. Talking about this show for me it was perfect in all aspects, a little bit here&there was present but it’s all forgiven due to every other major good things which I saw and hopefully, you guys would too in the entire SEASON 1&2 of ROCKET BOYS. Learn from it, enjoy it, be proud of who you are and your nation, and be respectful & humble to others for those who sacrificed their entire lifetime to build this nation for you.
