According to an ex-employee of Snapchat, CEO Evan Spiegel thinks that India is just too poor a country to even consider expanding into.  After Variety published this news, it went insanely viral on social media. While most of the people joked about it on Twitter, some people got seriously offended by this, and instantly started a campaign of #BoycottSnapchat.

But people being people, most of them mistook Snapdeal for Snapchat because they both start with.. snap (???? idk logic is never strong with people) and amidst this confusion, it’s Snapdeal that has come under fire of angry Indians.
