Priyanka Chopra’s Quantico is scheduled to go off air after the current season, but it’s not going down without creating another controversy.
American TV series Quantico tries to explore India-Pakistan storyline in the latest episode. It features Indian nationalists trying to blow up New York’s Manhattan in a nuclear attack to frame Pakistan, while FBI tries to stop it.
Although it’s nothing more than fictional crime drama, but Indians have still managed to get offended by it. They are taking it to Twitter to call out the “misleading” and “nonsense” plot. They are also attacking Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra for agreeing to be a part of this kind of plot.
Priyanka Chopra is no stranger to social media outrage. She was widely trolled when she met PM Modi, or when she visited Rohingya refugee camp in Bangladesh as UN ambassador.
As for Quantico, the show has not been cancelled for no reason. Although season one opened to a massive response on the internet and high critic ratings, but the quality and the hype slowly fizzled out in the course of two seasons.
Season 3 premiere opened to less than mere 3 million viewers, which forced ABC to pull the plug on it. The current season will only feature 13 episodes.
