Hanuma chalisa ready rakhlo cause you’ll need it after watching these crazy horror movie. Apne risk pe dekhna, okay?
- Scream
Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, this 90s slasher sensation delivers frights, laughs, and more twists than a jalebi. In my opinion, this movie beautifully nods to the original by incorporating nostalgic elements. Its self-awareness is a standout feature that I absolutely adored. It’s an enjoyable film, but personally, I felt that it tried a bit too hard to “pass the torch” and relied heavily on convenient and predictable plot armor. While I have a fondness for the first three Scream movies, I believe it would have been better to conclude the series as a trilogy.

- X
This film is like a wild mashup of an erotic thriller, a jump-scare extravaganza, and a gory horror flick, all served with a side of sly meta humor and mind-blowing creativity. It’s a rollercoaster ride that keeps you guessing and laughing at the same time. In addition to its 70s setting, the film’s production style cleverly pays homage to the aesthetics of classic horror genre movies from that era. A24 continues to impress with their consistent delivery of solid horror films, and this one confidently takes its place among their ever-growing list of successes.

- Prey for the Devil
Prey for the Devil delivers a devilishly good time. It breaks the mold and offers a fresh perspective on good, evil, and the blurred lines in between. Instead of exploring the intriguing parallels between faith, demons, mental health and trauma, the filmmakers of this movie chose to take a different path. What could have been an interesting exploration turned into a lackluster attempt at a horror-action hybrid. However, Prey for the Devil and The Exorcism of Emily Rose stand out as the top possession films of recent years.

- Incantation
A wickedly fun film that mixes mystery, magic and a whole lot of charm. This enchanting journey takes us into a world where incantations hold the key to unimaginable power. Incorporating elements of formal cinematography into certain parts of the film could elevate its overall visual appeal. It is also kinda similar to Grahan (Hindi web series) While some plot elements may feel familiar, the film’s unique combination of supernatural shenanigans and heartfelt drama sets it apart from the rest. It’s like a potion of enchantment that keeps you hooked from start to finish.

- Smile
This film serves up a deliciously terrifying treat with all the perfect ingredients. It’s got tension that’ll make your heart race, just the right amount of gore, jump scares and a healthy dose of humor to lighten the mood. What sets this movie apart is its perfect blend of indie charm and Hollywood polish. if you’re craving a spine-tingling experience, I highly recommend giving this film a go. It’s the best horror I’ve seen in ages, and it’s bound to leave you wanting more.
*still haunted by that smile though*
