- The Good Nurse
In “The Good Nurse,” the on-screen relationship between Cullen and Loughren feels heartbreakingly authentic. The characters and the story were captivating, gradually building tension and providing a satisfying conclusion. It offers a slow-burn experience that captivated me from beginning to end. However, I was disappointed to see that the movie version missed out on some of the most dramatic moments from the real-life story.
It stands out as an exceptional film that addresses healthcare malfeasance effectively. The director and the team’s masterful use of colors capture the psychological depths of the characters and the story’s arc. Overall, it is a compelling and thought-provoking film that delves into themes of betrayal and empathy.

Director Scott Derrickson’s eerie style of filmmaking perfectly suits the 70s serial killer genre. He brings the era to life through a well-curated classic rock soundtrack and clever pop culture references. One area that could have been further developed is The Grabber’s backstory. A brief glimpse into his background, would have enriched the narrative. Overall, it is a harrowing and emotionally charged film that’ll take you on a chilling journey.

- The Menu
“The Menu” serves up a delectable feast of dark comedic satire that left me thoroughly satisfied. It’s a thrilling and visually stunning journey that takes you on a wild ride from start to finish. the film revolves around Chef Julian Slowik, who serves his favorite dishes to a captivating ensemble. The dark and mysterious atmosphere keeps you guessing until the very end, and the performances from the cast are exceptional.
Despite not delivering consistent thrills or generating laughter, it possesses an undeniable charm and a touch of horror, with tasteful use of gore and blood that adds to its allure. - The Batman
“The Batman” is a truly fantastic film that reimagines the iconic superhero in a fresh and compelling way. Robert Pattinson delivers a phenomenal performance as both Batman and Bruce Wayne, capturing the inner torment and darkness that define the character. The Riddler, portrayed as a tragic, cunning, and intelligent villain, is a highlight, and the film explores his motivations effectively.
Without giving away spoilers, the film concludes with a beautiful lesson that Bruce learns, highlighting the remarkable character arc he undergoes as Batman. The exploration of Batman as the world’s greatest detective sets “The Batman” apart, making it a unique and refreshing addition to the comic-book movie genre. It stands as my favorite Batman film since “The Dark Knight,” with its only real competition being “Joker” (2019)

- Bodies Bodies Bodies
“Bodies Bodies Bodies” is an intriguing addition to the A24 collection. The film skillfully satirizes modern Gen Z culture, drawing comparisons to the popular game “Among Us,” where players must identify the killer. It’s an enjoyable and lighthearted movie that doesn’t take itself too seriously, prioritizing satire over horror.
Despite its imperfections, it leaves a strangely satisfying feeling as the story concludes. Whether it’s the simplicity of the ending or the lack of positive outcomes for the unlikable characters, it manages to leave a smile on your face and an overall sense of enjoyment. It may not resonate with everyone, but if you appreciated films like “Bad Times at The El Royale,” you’re likely to find this one equally captivating.
