It’s a great week for scifi genre in India. First JL50 and now this!!!!! Starring the amazing Vikrant Massey & Shweta Tripathi in the lead, this one is a quirky, modern take on the Indian mythologies of demons who guide the dead to a new life after wiping their past life memories & healing them. Produced by the stellar duo of Anurag Kashyap & Vikramaditya, this one was highly anticipated for the fresh story & different take with the whole world of space & afterlife inculcated in it a sweet & inspiring story. Would love to see more movies like this!

Not gonna lie, one show I was the most excited for this year. First four episodes are already out and they have set up this season perfectly!

Primevideo is going all out with this one and I’m not complaining. Easily one of the best out there currently.

Visionary director Charlie Kaufman is back with another ambitious yet wacky movie. The storyline is about how a young woman is going with her boyfriend to meet his parents but somewhere she decides on “ending things” with him. But what happens when the trip becomes a journey of discovering stuff about herself, her love & the world is what forms the crux of this beautiful movie. Kaufman’s vision in this journey of love, life & loss will touch your hearts and the performances & scene will have you weeping, a special special movie 🙂 THIS ONE IS MUST WATCH!

C U Soon

Available on Prime Video

First Indian film to experiment the computer perspective movie. It’s done entirely through screens and gives off a lot of ‘Searching’ vibes. If you haven’t watched it, WATCH IT. It’s the best.

Anyway, this Malayalam movie with a fab cast- including Fahadh Faasil & Roshan Mathew is a clever roller coaster thriller. It revolves around Jimmy and how his cousin Kevin helps him to solve the mystery of his girlfriend-who sent him a suicide note-video & disappeared. Its like a perfect remedy for the immobility we are facing in thid pandemic, cuz the characters in this movie are all but shown through screens not much human contact and that is the soul of this remarkable film!

Hostages
