  • Everything everywhere all at once

“Everything everywhere all at once” received a staggering 11 nominations and went on to win seven awards. Toh kuch baat toh hogi na movie mei? It is undoubtedly one of the most captivating movies I’ve ever watched, easily making its way into my top 10 favorites of all time.

As a fan of the multiverse concept, I might be slightly biased, but this film truly excels in every aspect, approaching perfection. The film seamlessly weaves together family drama, fantasy exploration and existential questions, all wrapped in a visually stunning package that pays homage to acclaimed directors. You would not regret spending time watching it.

  • Nope

“Nope” by Jordan Peele ventures into uncharted territory, blending sci-fi, western and horror genres to create a thought-provoking and ambitious cinematic experience. While the film doesn’t consistently hit the mark, it certainly leaves a lasting impression.

The climactic sequences lack the desired payoff, leaving some unresolved narrative threads. It still remains a commendable work of originality, showcasing a distinctive vision and knack for provoking thought. While it may not cater to everyone’s tastes, those who appreciate intellectually stimulating themes will find aspects to admire.

  • Prey

“Prey” brings a breath of fresh air to the Predator franchise, offering a captivating story set in the untamed wilderness of eighteenth-century British Columbia. The film excels in various aspects, starting with its strong storyline that avoids the pitfalls of previous Predator movies. It successfully captures the sense of fear, excitement and belonging that the franchise has been missing since its original installment.

The pacing is a bit slow, and the build-up takes longer than desired. Also, the CGI used for the animals feels rushed and lacks realism. But it still offers a great story that allows the main character to grow, showcasing their intentions and drive. Fans of the Predator series and newcomers alike will find themselves engaged and entertained throughout the film.

  • The Adam Project

“The Adam Project” is a beautifully crafted film that checks all the right boxes. From its stunning cinematography to well-developed characters and an engaging story, this movie delivers a refreshing experience. The film strikes a perfect balance between emotion, seriousness, and comedic relief, seamlessly blending these elements to create a captivating narrative.

The visual effects in the movie are impressive, though there are moments where they overshadow the movie itself. There is thoda excessive violence and weaponry distraction. But overall, it’s a good sci-fi movie that offers an enjoyable blend of comedy, time travel and heartfelt moments.

  • Moonfall

“Moonfall” is a thrilling journey through space with a simple yet engaging story. The film strikes a balance between action-packed sequences and the stunning visuals. The performances from the entire cast are exceptional, with each actor delivering strong and convincing portrayals.

It’s a movie that doesn’t require overanalyzing. Don’t try to question everything, just sit back and enjoy. If you’re seeking a sci-fi experience that doesn’t delve too deeply into complex themes, “Moonfall” is a solid choice. While it may lack profound depth and Eme Ikwuakor does not deliver a strong performance, it succeeds in delivering thrilling action and captivating moments.
