Penalty, Netflix, July 5

A movie for football fans! starring Kay Kay Menon, it’s an inspiring story of a guy who dreams to play for the national team, but faces discrimination because he’s from north east India. “Kya badal jayega, phir bhi log mujhey outsider hi samjhenge.”

Definitely gonna watch this.

Breathe S2, Prime Video, July 10

Abhishek Bachchan is getting a meaty role in a mainstream TV series. Kinda excited to see how that turns out. Trailer reminded me of Jake Gyllenhaal and Hugh Jackman’s Prisoners. Similar sa vibes hair. If you haven’t watched that film, you should. Can’t recommend enough.

A Hidden Life, Disney+ Hotstar, July 28

A real life story of Franz Jägerstätter, who refused to fight for the Nazis in World War II even after he faces threat of execution! “If your leader is evil, what does one do?” trailer gave me legit goosebumps. I’m sold. Also, it was nominated for Cannes Film Festival most prestigious honour.

Not sure how to feel about this one. Kinda like Katherine Langford but also tired of similar looking fantasy TV shows. Definitely gonna try out a few episodes though.
