And it’s that time of the year when Google releases their annual list of most searched global trends they like to call “Year In Search.” This year’s list of the ‘Most Searched TV Shows Worldwide’ list is kinda surprising because it has two entries from India.

hint: one spreads cancer, the other is cancer.

1. Stranger Things

IMDB rating: 9.0

It’s not surprising given the popularity surrounding this binge-worthy Netlfix Original series. As Eleven would say, it’s bitchin’.

2. 13 Reasons Why

IMDB rating: 8.4

Another netflix series, based on Jay Asher’s book, that took the internet by a storm this year for its highly debatable content.

3. Big Brother Brasil

IMDB rating: 2.9

Oh, so it’s not just India that’s drowning in cancer. Okay, then.

4. Game of Thrones

IMDB Rating: 9.5

It’s small wonder given Game of Thrones, literally the most famous TV show, dropped its biggest season this year.

5. Iron Fist

IMDB rating: 6.9

One of Marvel’s TV shows that came out this year. Great potential , but it just bombed with disappointment.

6. Bigg Boss

IMDB rating: bhai ko koi rate nahi karta, bhai sabko rate karte hai.

Ah, looks like Indian cancer is going worldwide. A cringy Bollywood actor judging other cringy failed celebrities. Sounds like fun.

7. Riverdale

IMDB rating: 7.8

The hype is strong with this TV show starring Cole Sprouse. It got highly polarized reactions from the audience.

8. American Gods

IMDB rating: 8.1

Based on a novel by Neil Gaiman, American Gods took off with rad first reviews on Rotten Tomatoes on IMDB.

9. The Kapil Sharma Show

IMDB rating: 8.2

It’s not surprising given the controversy surrounding Kapil Sharma earlier this year, and you can never underestimate the population of India.

10. Mindhunter

IMDB rating: 8.7

Mindhunters is about two FBI agents who expand criminal science by delving into the psychology of murder and getting uneasily close to all-too-real monsters. It took off with high ratings on Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB. Watch it if you haven’t.
