We are no strangers to the fact that cops often delay solving cases of common people with no influence or money. (or pizza if you’re from UP) Similar case happened when cops failed to take action against a theft case, but this 10th grade kid outsmarted them.
The boy created a fake Twitter account of Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Om Prakash Singh and tweeted order to Gorakhpur police constables to solve the theft case filed by his brother.
Giving priority to orders coming from top, police sprang into action and solved the case immediately.
In a report by India Today, when local cops sent out report to update the DGP office, they found out about his fake account and filed a case against his impersonation with the Hazratganj police. Cyber cell tracked down the kid and detained him and his friend who helped him in creating fake Twitter account. Later, police let go of the kid with just a warning, “We took a reformative approach and let off both the school-going kids, as any action would have affected their future,” DGP OP Singh said.
