Anil Kapoor delivers a remarkable performance as Shashank Batra, a selfish and cunning husband. His sprightly and energetic portrayal brings a spark of life to the movie and his impeccable comic timing adds a layer of humor to the narrative. Whereas, Varun Dhawan impresses with his portrayal of Rishabh, a struggling husband caught between his dreams and responsibilities. He brings vulnerability and relatability to his character.

The casting is spot on

Kiara Advani shines as Avni, a strong yet trapped wife who finds herself entangled in a web of family issues and Neetu Singh, makes a comeback to the big screen, delivers a pleasant performance as Mrs. Batra. Her presence adds depth to the film.

Prajkta Kohli aka MostlySane makes her bollywood debut lekin I felt ki her character did not suit her well. Whereas, Maniesh Paul’s comedic timing brings moments of laughter and lightness whenever he appears on screen.

The sets, actors, and production design all contribute to the rich and glamorous aesthetic of the film. From lavish weddings to vibrant dance sequences, Johar’s visual storytelling enhances the overall appeal of the movie. Also, the soundtrack of the movie is soulful and well-placed, evoking a range of emotions.

At it’s core, JugJugg Jeeyo is a story based on relationships. It showcases the complexities and challenges that couples face in modern-day marriages. Throughout the movie, there are multiple moments that bring tears to your eyes. The raw emotions portrayed by the actors, coupled with the well-crafted screenplay, create a powerful impact.

While the movie has it’s flaws, including some preachiness in the second half, it still manages to entertain and engage the audience. The movie occasionally becomes heavy-handed with its messages, disrupting the flow of the narrative.
