Kabir Singh ke baad zyada expectations bachi nahi thi Shahid se, but he clearly outdid himself.

I’ve seen very few sports movies with such a human and heartfelt storyline. Sure, the lead character’s batting abilities were a tad unrealistic, but come on, this is Bollywood. Agar Rohit Shetty ki cars hawa mei udd sakti hain to Shahid bhi toh ache sixes maar sakta hai na? :p The cricket sequences were well-shot and had an authentic feel to them.
The screenplay masterfully balances personal struggles and thrilling cricket action. It’s a perfect fusion of emotions and cricketing process, like a perfectly timed shot. The film delves deep into Arjun’s emotional journey, reminding us that life can be as unpredictable as a last-ball six.
10/10 for the performances
The performances were simply mind-blowing! That cute kid (Rohit Kamra) stole the show with his adorable presence. Mrunal Thakur delivered a mature and natural performance, showing us she’s an actress who deserves more opportunities. And then we have the father-son duo—Pankaj Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor. Pankaj Sir is a legend, no doubt about it and he was captivating as always.
But Shahid Kapoor is too good. He proved once again that he’s one of the finest actors in India. His portrayal of Arjun was simply remarkable and I found myself relating to his character on a deep level. Also, Pankaj sir’s witty one-liners>>>

But as you become more invested in Shahid’s character, you find yourself going on a journey of introspection and self-reflection alongside him. There are moments of quiet contemplation where his silence speaks volumes, inviting you to reflect on your own life and aspirations.
