As Bollywood romantic films are reaching a saturation point, here comes another ‘Jalebi’ by Mahesh Bhatt. Directed by Pushpdeep Bhardwaj, it stars debutante Varun Mitra and Rhea Chakraborty in the lead roles.
He took it to Twitter to share the poster for the film. “In this changing shifting world where the old stories have collapsed and no new story has yet emerged to replace them comes a story of everlasting love. Here is the #JalebiPoster,” he wrote.

The bold poster of Varun Mitra passionately kissing Rhea Chakraborty through the train window has everyone social media talking. For one, it’s a copy of an iconic photo clicked during the Korean War when a soldier of the 160th Infantry Regiment was departing.
Bollywood isn’t stranger to lifting off movie posters, it has done over and over again. Unsurprisingly, it has also turned into a meme template that is doing rounds on Twitter and it’s actually pretty hilarious.
