Bollywood has been famous from Pritam times for trying to copy the west. Our music directors copied music, our action directors copied action sequences and sometimes we even saw a sasta copy of a whole scene. But in a recent trend, we are seeing Hollywood movies getting remade into Bollywood movies. So, here are some of the movies that are already on the block to be remade:

  1. The Intern

The Intern which originally starred Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway and touched each one of our hearts shall be remade with Rishi Kapoor and Deepika Padukone playing their respective parts. I dont know how the movie will turn out to be but I have full faith on the two of them.

2. Forrest Gump/Laal Singh Chaddha

Forrest Gump has been my favourite movie since a long long time and hope they dont mess it up. Plis god.

3. The Fault In Our Stars/Dil Behchara

The novel by John Green by the same name was made into a movie and then a few years after that it managed to make us weep uncontrollably twice, it is coming again as a remake in Bollywood. Aap chronology samjhiye!

4. Begin Again

I really dont know how to feel about this film getting remade because it is way too close to my heart. Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo getting replaced with anyone else is an absolute nightmare to me but nevertheless I am curious as to what they make of this amazing watch.

5. RED

Remember the movie that starred Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman? YES, that is getting a remake and I am curious as to what they make of it because lets face it, Bollywood is getting good at action thrillers.

6. The Girl on The Train

Both the book and movie are one of my favourites in the psychothriller genre. I am really really REALLY excited to see what they make of this movie because it has such a happening story that we stay hooked till the very end. Also, cannot wait to see how Parineeti carries forward the lead role.

7. RAMBO

I really dont know what to feel about this one. Tiger Shroff enacting the great Sylvester Stallone sounds so wrong to me. I just hope this movie surprises me because I am expecting nothing at all.

All in all, if you see it looks like Bollywood has run out on story ideas but I hope each of these films serves us with justice.
