“I’m going back to Mumbai……. or am I?” -Chris Martin, 2k16
After doing an impromptu gig last year in Delhi and a hushed video shoot for their new song, we are no strangers to the fact that Coldplay loves India and they would definitely love to play here for us. We even a have proof. Wuppaah!
The citizens of Indian internet have been speculating the official return of Coldplay to India for a long while now. The debate has been going back and forth now without any official statement to back up their potential gig.
But there’s been a development recently,
In the morning today, Google India’s official handle tweeted something which seemed like an official announcement of their gig in India.
Super duper psyched about it, right? umm, about that, no. Google India deleted their tweet after only a very short while.
DID GOOGLE INDIA JUST PRANK THE WHOLE FANDOM AT ONCE?
IF IT WERE AN OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT, WHY DID THEY DELETE THEIR TWEET?
IF THIS TURNS OUT TO BE A PRANK, YOU WILL NOT BE FORGIVEN.
Oh look, it’s time for the annual slew of “Coldplay is rumoured to be coming to India” articles. Never actually going to happen.

Amidst all this brouhaha, non fandom people are sitting there like:
