Instagram has removed the ‘following’ tab, popularly known as the ‘stalking’ tab in their latest update (along with the dark mode). They had introduced it back in 2011, long before the ‘explore’ tab, it was intended as a way to discover new content by seeing what your friends were liking. However, it serves no purpose in today’s time, except for seeing what all posts your crush is liking at 3 am.

“People didn’t always know that their activity is surfacing. So you have a case where it’s not serving the use case you built if for, but it’s also causing people to be surprised when their activity is showing up,” says the head of product at Instagram, Vishal Shah.

Although they did it for the sake of simplicity, but people are losing the shirt anyway. Here are the funniest reactions doing rounds on social media.

Also, a huge plus for the ze ladies!

What do you think? how often did you use the following tab?
