All students can now throw their school books right out of the window because science and technology just got a massive update today. Tripura Chief Minister of BJP claims that internet and satellite communication existed in the days of Mahabharata.
“The Europeans and the Americans may claim that the internet is theirs, but it is actually our technology,” CM Biplab Deb said in Regional Workshop on Computerisation and Reforms event. “Internet and satellite communication had existed in the days of Mahabharata. How could Sanjaya give a detailed account and description to the blind king about the battle of Kurukshetra? It means internet was there, the satellites and that technology was there in this country at that time.”

Ironically, Indians used the same internet to savagely troll him on Twitter.

Some people hilariously supported the chief minister’s claim using ancient photographic evidence.
It’s not the first time BJP has tried distort history and science. In 2014, PM Modi claimed that Lord Ganesha was a product of plastic surgery which existed in that time. Or when BJP Education minister claimed Darwin’s theory of evolution was a sham. The list goes on and on.
It doesn’t matter what the internet says to him, he stands by his claim.
Narrow minded people find it tough to believe this. They want to belittle their own nation and think highly of other countries. Believe the truth: Tripura CM Biplab Deb on his claim that 'internet and satellite existed since Mahabharata era' (ANI) pic.twitter.com/xxWxYKpHnn
