In today’s ‘what the duckity duck is happening in this country’ news, students of Bhagath PU College in Haveri, Karnataka were LITERALLY made to wear cardboard boxes on their heads during their examinations to apparently stop them from cheating.

College authority used this out-of-box thinking during the midterm exams because a bunch of students were caught cheating last year even after warning them repeatedly.

“We implemented this idea to curb malpractice and not to harass students. This is just an experiment. We discussed it with students and took their consent before implementing it,” MB Sateesh, the director of the college said in a statement.

However, The Karnataka education department isn’t taking this lightly. They have already issued a notice to the college and launched an inquiry into it.

“When I got a message on this, I immediately went to the college and ordered the management to stop the practice. I also issued a notice to the college management and am contemplating disciplinary action against them for implementing this idea,” SC Peerjade, deputy director, PU Board, told Indiatimes.

Aaaaaaalright then.
