BJP To Observe ‘Black Day’ On June 25 As A Protest To Emergency Imposed In 1975 By Indira Gandhi

who needs stand-up comics when you have politicians.

While the country is in chaos and there are thousands pressing issues that need immediate attention, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is still hung up on what happened in 1975.

They announced on 19th June that they are going to observe a ‘Black Day’ on 25th June “to protest against the Congress and observe black day on June 26 as a mark of anger against the emergency imposed under the former PM Indira Gandhi,” as reported by many media outlets.

According to the report, as many as 25 Union Ministers will take part in the protest. Many state leaders will also visit various districts of the country to speak about how the emergency imposed by Indra Gandhi in 1975 turned out to be the darkest day in India history.

Unsurprisingly, the news didn’t go down too well on the internet. “While the country is living in 2018, BJP is still living in 1975,” a user wrote on Twitter. People don’t know whether to laugh or cry at this. Here’s what they are saying.

Really hope BJP starts addressing current issues with the same enthusiasm as they address issues of the past.
