Some movies may have not stood out with their performance but their soundtracks did have us awestruck with the tunes and memorable words.

Tashan (2008)

All remember this movie just for Kareena’s size zero & how bad the actual film was xD But its music album was a bop! Chhaliya’ was all of us jamming to it & trying to be as sexy as Bebo. Sukhwinder Singh’s stellar ‘Dil haara’ & Udit Narayan’s cutesy ‘Falak tak’ were so gooood. Tashan mein’ was like the gangsta song – instant adrenaline always!! And the best, ‘Dil Dance maare’ with its crazy music & Hinglish lyrics was the song we all vibed to 😉

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom (2007)

Okayish movie with a confusing storyline but with a real cool cast. The music album has some really good songs just btw. ‘Bol na halke halke’ is the most heart-touching & beautiful song-I mean its lyrics can make anyone senti uff!!! Crazy, peppy songs like Ticket to Hollywod’ & Kiss of love’ are freaking amazing. But the most iconic of the lot has to be the title track with some of our best singers, like Shankar Mahadevan & KK etc. joining forces with their killer vocals and the fab music, to make it AWESOME!

Shaandaar (2015)

OFC we all had high expectations from this one, but the film was so bad it proved that all that shimmers ain’t gold xD Tho it had one of the nicest music album. ‘Shaam Shaandar’ is like dopamine stonks and ‘Gulabo’ is everyone’s jam cuz its beats literally make you sway & get bindass.

And ‘Senti wali Mental’ is like a bop which like a lyrical speech for feminism sorta 🙂 And “Nazdeekiyaan’ & ‘Neend na mujhko aaye’ are soul stirring yet make you feel at peace- especially on sleepless nights 😉

OK Jaanu (2017)

OK hi thi ye movie bhi, it came nowhere close to the OG ‘OK Kanmani’ (watch it if you still haven’t) and was a lil below par even though w a fresh narrative on modern love stories. The music album tho deserves

Call the world’s love: after all its an AR Rahman masterpiece!! The title track itself gives the most summery & cutesy vibes and Kaara Fankaara w its techno beats literally stays on your mind all day.

Enna Sona’ is the gem here, a song w such beautiful lyrics & vocals its ceases your heart 🙂 The Humma song is also catchy af tbh.

Agent Vinod (2012)

It was touted to be the Desi James Bond esque movie but it bombed pretty bad since the storyline was awry w some real bad acting except the Saifeena factor :”) But its album was pretty good- Raabta was like the love anthem of that year & till date its melody w Arijit’s voice hits the soft spot!!

Pungi is such a one-of-a-kind crazy fun song & luv 2 jam to it alwaysssss. And ‘Dil mera muft ka’ can bring out the dancer in anyone, for sure.

Salaam-e-Ishq (2007)

A very Hollywood-ish kinda ensemble cast movie showing stories of 6 couples whose lives are entwined. tho the movie failed, but its music still gets a lot of love. I mean Adnan Sami’s ‘Dil kya kare’ was the most heart-warming song everrrr <3. The title track is so cool & catchy, ekdum perf party vibes- jamming to it makes you feel alive. “Tenu leke’ (yeah the Salman on horse one :p) is like the best song for all shaadis to dance to always. Kailash Kher’s ‘Ya Rabba’ pierces your heart with his soulful voice & its lyrics 🙂

Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobara (2013)

First part was the real deal, this one was a total lame fest xD The album by Pritam is definitely cone of the most underrated one ever!! The rendition of Tayyab Ali’ is so freaking catchy & fun and even ‘Bismillah’ is a party bop.

“Chugliyaan’ is like a soft whisper of love and uff so beautiful. The best has to be Javed Bashir’s Ye tune kya kiya’- that song is a precious gem to be protected at all costs :”)

Teri Meri Kahaani (2012)

Sach batana, does anyone of you even remember this one??? I mean it was supposed to be cutesy but turned out cringey :p But it had some real, cool bops especially Mukhtasar which is like the perf millennial love track <3 “Jabse mere dil ko uff is full retro feels w Sonu Nigam & Sunidhi’s amaze vocals.

“Allah jaane’ & Thats all I really wanna do’ are also so calming- a beautiful Sajid-Wajid music album indeed.

Raabta (2017)

A pure as water album in a movie jo thoda sarr ke upar se nikal gayi thi :’) You are lying if Ik Vaari’ doesn’t make you wanna let go & dance w enthusiasm uufff!! Atif Aslam’s ‘Darasal’ is so uwu and ‘Lambiyan si judaiyaan’ ekdum breaks your heart.

The title track hits different w the techno beats and Arijit & Nikita Gandhi’s blissful voices. Definitely kuch toh hai iss album se raabtaaa……
