Anime films are not viewed as much in our country but I promise..you wont regret once you start binging on them. So, because we know many of you are new to this genre we listed some beginner films for you!
Have made so many people watch it and nobody has ever not loved it. Makoto Shinkai’s masterpiece Your Name’ is as good as it gets. Watch it if you wanna get hit right in the feels and also get mindfucked while you’re at it.
A Silent Voice:
Get ready to cry buckets because this one is gonna hit you like a truck.
One of the most beautiful films I’ve watched, it’s insane how wonderfully they handled subjects like teen bullying, mental health & suicide. Read about the visual metaphors in the film after you’ve done watching. You’ll appreciate the film more.
Weathering With You:
Another masterpiece by Makoto Shinkai. Another one of my all time favorites. Bittersweet story of a guy who meets a girl who can summon sunlight by praying in times of floods.
It will have you laughing, cheering, crying and falling in love with the characters! The visuals are breathtaking.
Grave of the Fireflies:
This film will hurt you on a whole different level. Don’t have the stomach to ever rewatch it.
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time:
It’s a coming of age film about a girl who can leap through time and alter the course of events in her life. This film teaches you that you are the way you are because of the things that happen to you, and those things should not be changed.
5 Centimetres Per Second:
A beautifully made one hour film that is divided into three parts. It’s more like a long, dramatic poem on moving on from romantic feelings that you had for someone. Its very, very sad FYI.
But ending is so important. It’s not necessarily happy, but it’s hopeful.
A beautiful film that stays in your heart long after it’s finished. It’s considered a classic for a reason.
I Want To Eat Your Pancreas:
Emotional rollercoaster, It first cheers you up and then takes your heart out and stomps on it fifty times lol. Kaafi dukh, dard, aansu types ending.
I wish I could forget about it so I could watch it again from the start without knowing what happens next! because I have never found anything as THRILLING as this anime series. By the second episode ends, you’ll be hooked for a long bingewatch session
It’s very famous and if you’re still sleeping on it, PLEASE WATCH. And don’t even think about watching the Netflix film on it. DON’T.
