It’s so rare to come across original and innovative horror movies these days. Most of the movies we get are either sequels or reboots; all follow similar kind of plot, similar jump scares. Nothing new to offer to the horror genre. You can literally use your fingers to count the number of movies that tried to do something different in past few years. Get Out, Don’t Breathe, Hush, Lights Out, …
The latest one to the collection is John Krasinski’s ‘A Quiet Place.
Starring John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, A Quiet Place is a silent horror thriller which follows a family in an apocalyptic world where they can’t make a sound. If they make any kind of sound, some creatures immediately comes after them. So they use sign language to communicate, use sand patches to walk, and keep silent af if they want to survive.
Horror film A Quiet Place has opened to INSANE reviews by audience and critics alike. The movie has 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes with over 86 reviews, which is UNREAL for a horror movie. It also has a monumental rating of 8.4 on IMDB which you never see for horror movies.
The movie has people hyped up. Here’s what people are saying about the movie.
This is odd considering I write horror but I'm typically underwhelmed by horror films.
When I tell you #AQuietPlace is not just the best horror film I've ever seen but one of the best films I've seen PERIOD, it's about as high of praise as I can offer.

A QUIET PLACE: A great horror film that excels at living and thriving in painfully uncomfortable tension. A couple of cheap jump scares aside, it’s a lean, mean adrenaline generating machine. The audience went wild when the credits rolled. #AQuietPlace #SXSW

Just watched #AQuietPlace. Congrats @johnkrasinski, I can’t sleep and I’m all out of Gilmore Girls to watch to clear my head. What psycho wrote this? Oh you did. What crazy person directed this. You again. Cast your real wife as your wife? Come on!?! We have to talk. https://t.co/CE2hYbAGUs

Remember that Jurassic Park scene where the two kids are hiding behind a table and 2 dinosaurs are in that room looking for them? Stretch that scene over 90 mins and add John Krasinski's parental fear of protecting his family.
What you will get is #AQuietPlace ! Top Class !

A Quiet Place is the first time I’ve seen a movie where the people in the audience shushed the characters on screen and not someone else in the theater.

A QUIET PLACE is a genius hybrid of THE LAST OF US, DON'T BREATHE, and SIGNS (which all j'adore greatly), while inserting one brilliant element that makes it unique. Hearing sounds never feels this chilling.

A QUIET PLACE: currently sitting at a 99% on Rotten Tomatoes. With good reason. The movie is a genuine edge-of-your-seat, grab-the-person-next-to-you crowd pleaser. So much fun. Scares and heart. The acting is great but Emily Blunt shines.

A Quiet Place will knock your socks off. A non-stop thrill ride that will have you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. John Krasinski has found his calling with this incredible genre film that is one of the best in years. See it with a crowd. #SXSW18 #AQuietPlace pic.twitter.com/tt76Rl3s7H

A Quiet Place releases in India on 6th April. Experience it on the big screen and if someone at the theater makes any noise, don’t be afraid to tell them shut the f*uck up.
