The most awaited comic book flick ‘Justice League’ is finally out, and just like any other DC movie, it’s also getting a polarized response from the fans.
While Justice League is facing plenty of criticism at hand, but the most hilarious is probably the one surrounding Superman’s digitally removed mustache.
JUSTICE LEAGUE EXEC: We can just CGI Henry Cavill’s mustache out it will be fine and not look weird at all

Henry Cavill, who plays the role of Superman in Justice League, grew a mustache for his role in upcoming movie Mission Impossible 6. So when Cavill was called to re-shoot some scenes for Justice League, it overlapped with the filming schedule of Mission Impossible 6. It’s not clear how exactly things went down in the H-town, but Paramount didn’t give Cavill the permission to shave his mustache.

As a result, Warner Bros apparently had to spend a whooping 25 million dollars for digitally removing Superman’s mustache from the film.
WB exec: (on speakerphone) so you won't let him shave it
paramount exec: im sorry henry's mustache is (shushing laughter from the dozen people gathered to hear the call) integral to the character
WB exec: what about makeup
paramount exec: it wouldnt look right (giggling)

But they still couldn’t do it right.
From a Batman News commenter… 😂
How to remove a Superman mustache the WB way:
1. Open Photoshop.
2. Click the clone stamp tool.
3. Brush off the stache for about 2 minutes by cloning other parts of the face
4. Do it frame by frame.
And you're done. pic.twitter.com/TJmI3yJuzm

“The opening scene of Superman in Justice League is the most horribly distracting CG with that f*cking mustache I have ever seen in a big budget movie. It’s insane. I literally can’t believe it,” Evan said on Twitter.
I don't understand the complaints. The cgi removal of Henry Cavill's mustache is barely noticeable. pic.twitter.com/nKoUrqj6y8

Some people even found inconsistency with Ben Affleck’s re-shoot.
why did the Justice League reshoots put Ben Affleck in a completely different toupée. his hairline changes shape mid-scene lol. pic.twitter.com/btJcAQbC6i

Like any other CGI mess up, it lead to some pretty hilarious memes and jokes on social media.
HAHAHAHA, the literal first shot of the movie, Henry Cavill's mustache fucks up his upper lip

Drink every time you can spot Henry Cavill’s CGI mustache mouth.

While some people believe that if Warner Bros had just left Cavill’s ‘stache as it is, Superman would have looked pretty badass.
it breaks my goddamn heart that we were denied a movie featuring Mustache Superman

To give you a little perspective, Warner Bros spent almost same amount of money to remove Superman’s mustache as it took Rohit Shetty Productions to make big blockbuster movie Dilwale (2015). Let that sink in.
