The brouhaha around Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati will finally be over as the film gets a green flag from CBFC.
The special panel constituted by the Central Board of Film Certification which included historians and former royals watched the film Padmavati on 28th December and have passed the movie with a UA certificate with almost 26 cuts, modification to the song Ghoomar and alteration of film’s title from Padmavati to Padmavat.

The special panel consisted of Arvind Singh from Udaipur, Dr Chandramani Singh and Professor KK Singh of Jaipur University. Panel member had insights and also some reservations regarding claimed historical events and socio-cultural aspects which were duly discussed at length.
And people on Twitter have a lot of thoughts (and jokes)
I am pretty sure the entire world will still call it #Padmavati regardless of the title change. Unnecessary tactics, but at this point who the hell cares. Just let this movie release 🙏

Padmavati has really faced some dangerous threats. Earlier, they wanted to cut the nose. Now they removed an i pic.twitter.com/TZlMzZko7g

Just a few more tweaks to Padmavati’s name, and they can release it as Padman.
