PadMan Movie Review Round-up: Starring Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte, and Sonam Kapoor, Padman is a comedy drama biopic film based on the real life journey of social activist Arunachalam Muruganatham who developed low-cost machine for making sanitary pads for women, and started a revolution of feminine hygiene in India.
First of all, genuine respect to on-screen Padman Akshay Kumar for using his stardom to create movies on such important social topics. Who could have ever thought in their right minds that one day Bollywood would make a commercial movie on sanitary pads.
Now, let’s talk about the movie. According to reports, Padman is doing good at the box office and might even collect about 7-8 crores on its first day. Let’s address the elephant in the room, we all feared that Padman was a bland movie hiding behind the veil of an important social issue, but the reviews by critics and audience have put that fear rest. It’s getting impressive reviews by everyone. Though a lot of people are complaining about slow first half but the second one makes up for it.
Here’s what critics and audience are saying about Padman:

Watched #Padman– @akshaykumar stellar portrayal of @murugaofficial is an absolute winner; @sonamakapoor also shines for how lightly she wears her role. To think this is a true story makes it even more moving- I cried a few times. Congratulations @mrsfunnybones – here's to you
