Fanatastic critic reviews coupled with the insane hype due to controversies, Padmaavat nailed at the box office on Friday by collecting over 32 crores in just one day. The movie has collected 56 crores so far.
But often times, box office numbers have a very little do with quality of the movie. *coughs* Tiger Zinda Hai *coughs* Happy new year *coughs*
Now that a lot of people have watched the movie, people are sharing their honest reactions on Twitter and boy, Padmaavat is getting highly polarized audience reviews and reactions. People are either saying it’s an epic masterpiece or it’s a complete trash. While everyone is appreciating the cinematography and other technicalities of the movie, they are also pointing out how terribly slow and long it is. “You will love the movie, only if you’re a Rajput,” says one user on Twitter.
Here are some of the honest audience reviews of Padmaavat.
Bajirao mastani is 100 times better compared to padmaavat.. nothing was good except ranveer and climax.. it's too boring

Totally Mediocre film.. Everyone disappoints excluding Khilji… The guy made film worth watching otherwise it was plain boring.. Bhansali made a clumsy and regressive film in order to appease Rajputs who gonna hate it anyway #Padmaavat

Too long. Too boring. Watch it if you like Ranveer. Shahid is too short to be my king. Deepika doesn't get the chance to shine. Aditi is good. Music is bad. The last 15mins are good. #Padmaavat

Technicalities aside, the film rides on an one line idea which after a point of time gets repetitive and boring. Although the film is essentially a drama, it doesn't have a lot of powerful moments to offer. #Padmaavat

#Padmaavat All these for nothing, Such a bad experience after watching this overhyped movie. Except few scenes its long boring wastage of time. Crap

Saw #Padmaavat (Free Movie Ticket)
Typical Bhansali style narration
Too loud, too long, and 2 extra songs
Slow start, captivating climax
Deepika stands out, so does Shahid (Surprisingly), Ranbeer can't match Bajirao performance – Casting could be better

We should fight hard to preserve the Freedom of expression, no matter how shitty the expression is. #Padmaavat

Padmaavat is like an answer which was written by Engineering student for 10 mark question.
Boring, Pointless and Painfully Long.#Padmaavat

Just watched Padmaavat. Most boring, pointless film I have ever watched. Not worth time, money and definitely not worth the hype.

#Padmaavat-extends its welcome way too longer than required on screen & ends up boring, sans any major exciting moment. Definitely not worth all the hype & hoopla its generated & the 3D version was definitely not needed.

Although the hype is still strong with Padmaavat, but word of mouth will probably slow it down at the box office.
