As Padmaavat now collects more than 170 crores at the Box Office in its first week, Karni Sena calls off the successful marketing campaign.
According to a report by Hindustan Times, Karni Sena’s Mumbai leader Yogendra Singh Katar watched Padmaavat on directions of organisation’s President Sukhdev Singh, and he thought the movie glorifies the valour and sacrifice of Rajput and every Rajput will feel proud after watching it. “There is no such objectionable scene between Delhi Sultanate ruler Alauddin Khilji and Queen Padmini of Mewar which hurts the sentiments of Rajputs.”
Not fake news: Karni Sena takes u-turn on Padmaavat, says it glorifies Rajputs, good film!
Shall we laugh or cry.

“Karni Sena takes back their protest and will help the administration to release the film in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat as well as across all cinema houses in India.”
It’s true- karni sena was a marketing campaign for a very expensive but overall average movie. Brilliant. https://t.co/8eTJBlCgVo

People on Twitter don’t know whether to laugh or cry at this situation. And they’re obviously praising Karni Sena for the successful marketing campaign they pulled.
1. Well deserving.

3. Only way DC can make a comeback now.

I give it 24 months before Karni Sena is defending free speech on a TV channel. 36 months before Sena head is at literary festival.

Karni Sena goons withdraw protests after watching the movie. What a joke they have made of the incompetent state govts. https://t.co/VkFhcdUrye

I fear that Karni Sena will start protests, vandalise public property, attack kid's school buses and now force people to go & watch #Padmaavat

Padmaavat is going to cross 200 crore mark on the box office on Sunday.
