Karni Sena Withdraws Protests Against Padmaavat After Watching The Movie

As Padmaavat now collects more than 170 crores at the Box Office in its first week, Karni Sena calls off the successful marketing campaign.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, Karni Sena’s Mumbai leader Yogendra Singh Katar watched Padmaavat on directions of organisation’s President Sukhdev Singh, and he thought the movie glorifies the valour and sacrifice of Rajput and every Rajput will feel proud after watching it. “There is no such objectionable scene between Delhi Sultanate ruler Alauddin Khilji and Queen Padmini of Mewar which hurts the sentiments of Rajputs.”

“Karni Sena takes back their protest and will help the administration to release the film in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat as well as across all cinema houses in India.”

So… wait, are you telling me that Karni Sena vandalized the movie set, beat up Sanjay Leela Bhansali, threatened to chop off Deepika’s nose, called for Bharat band, threatened a mass suicide of women, destroyed public property, and attacked an effing school bus and now they are saying “haha btw we just watched the movie and lmao it’s actually pretty cool so yeah no mo’ protests now, anyway i g2g byeee”

People on Twitter don’t know whether to laugh or cry at this situation. And they’re obviously praising Karni Sena for the successful marketing campaign they pulled.

1. Well deserving.

2. *facepalm*

3. Only way DC can make a comeback now.

Padmaavat is going to cross 200 crore mark on the box office on Sunday.
