Remember the good old times when Japanese game show Takeshi’s Castle used to air on Pogo TV every evening? although it’s been a LONG TIME since it originally aired (back in 1980’s), Takeshi’s Castle is STILL considered one of the most successful game shows ever produced.
But it wouldn’t have been half as fun if it weren’t for Jaaved Jaaferi’s iconic commentary in Hindi. It was his hilarious phrases like “General Ke Jaabaz” and “Pandey Ji Ka Keechad” that made it one of our most favorite childhood shows.
And it’s not just us, Jaaved Jaaferi also misses Takeshi’s Castle. Yesterday, he took it to twitter to talk about it.
Actually #Takeshi’sCastle was one of the the most enjoyable shows I have done..I miss it.

And it felt oddly comforting that Jaaved Jaaferi acknowledged his love for the show. Unsurprisingly, his tweet took everyone on a nostalgic trip and the replies were truly heartwarming.
It wasn't just the kids but even adults like me who used to enjoy Takeshi's castle, sir. I have seen the original version also, but it doesn't even come close to how creatively you used to handle it.

We do too. I still remember when we used to run back from school so that we won't miss anything. It was fun because of your @jaavedjaaferi commentary. Childhood memories.

According to reports, a whole new season of Takeshi’s Castle is being shot right now in Thailand and it will air on Comedy Central this year. But sadly, it’s not yet confirmed if Jaaved Jaaferi will do Hindi commentary again, but at least we will get to see General Lee and those two “Changu Mangu.”
